DIY Garage Pop

The Matt Smith Cosmic Experience is a musical project that has been going since 2021, although I began making music before that. I live in the South East of England but I go to Uni in Exeter and that's where a lot of my activity is focused these days.

My music, like this page, is made with a DIY work ethic and as such is a little rough around the edges. You might like it if you're a fan of artists like Syd Barrett, The Velvet Underground and Beat Happening.

My music

I encourage you to listen to my music on Bandcamp, even if you don't pay anything, because other streaming services, such as Spotify, are very unfair on small, independent artists. Click the button below to follow me!

Below is a link to my latest EP on Bandcamp:

I also recently released a 24 track digital album containing all of my singles and EPs 2021 - 2024 as well as 10 recording outtakes and demos from 2020 - 2023, many of which are hard to find elsewhere. Buy it here:

Home Recordings Vol. 1

From now on, I'm going to be releasing my music predominantly through Bandcamp digital albums and physical media. But for now, a lot of my catalogue is still only available on the major streaming services. Have a listen below!
